Born in Canton, China to an artistic family. His father Lo Tok was a famous Chinese opera composer. His environment was filled with the love of the arts. Childhood memories of his father composing late at night, sitting backstage at the theater, drawing and painting with his six siblings, and being brought along to the radio station where his father had a show became imprints for life.

At seven, his family immigrated to the United States and settled in Chicago's Chinatown.

At 18 he left the city to attend Eastern Illinois University. The experiences there transformed an inner city kid into a man that today has dedicated his life to the arts.

His work can be found on packaging and ads for national brands, published books, and large installations in public buildings.
